I just read the devastating news that The Low Histamine Chef as I will always know her, Yasmina Yekelenstam, passed away Monday.
I know Yasmina was fighting breast cancer more than a year ago and do not know if it recurred. I have no details.
What I can tell you is that although I never met her in person, she was my friend. We worked together to get the message out about histamine intolerance and it was one of my proudest moments to guest write a post for her blog. I wanted her to write for my blog too but we just never got to it. Now we never will.
There is a lot I’d like to share but I can’t put the words together right now so I’ll finish by saying goodbye to my dear friend. I’ll miss you.

She shared her wealth of histamine knowledge with us and was always so encouraging to those just starting their own journey. She will be missed greatly. Warm thoughts headed your way Dale.
Wow, what shocking, sad news. She will be dearly missed. I learned so much from her about histamine intolerance. The natural solutions she offered made a big difference in the quality of my life. Rest In Peace, Yasmina.

How sad! I’m sorry. Cancer is horrible. My dad, Reg died in April from colon cancer. It is devastating! Rosanna

I am completely devastated. My histamine intolerance almost killed me. Modern medicine couldn’t help me. Between Yasmina and this blog I crawled my way back to life. She changed the world with her knowledge and her “won’t take no for an answer” attitude.
The world is a better place because she was here. Her work will help people like us for years and years to come.
Devastation doesn’t even come close to how I fell. Her poor family. No parent should have to bury a child.

R.I.P. Yasemine….Its a very difficult moment to loose a friend….I hope, someday the researches will find a finaly working therapy against cancer! My friend Claudia was fighting 8 years; at the end she died not beccause of her breastcancer but leavercancer, bonecancer, braincancer!!! The chemios where killing all in her, but not cancer….
Claudia loved it to take a long bath, so every time I take a bath, I light a candel for her….
Very sad news. Yasmina and Dale were the first 2 people I discovered in late 2013 or 2014 that actually provided me guidance and direction on histamine intolerance after a lifetime of chronic illness and even organ failure. To this day I still cannot get any Dr to take it seriously so I rely on their blogs, and tools they provide to help myself. Thank you both. My heart goes out to Yasmnina’s family, loved ones and friends.

I am heartbroken to hear this news. Having been away from here and Yasmina’s site for a long time, I did not know she had been ill.
While I did not know her in person, she helped me so very much when I was struggling with histamine intolerance.
